My sister, Becky, named me Liz of the Cosmos my junior year of high school.  On evening Becky took me to a vegetarian club dinner in Donna, Texas deep in the Rio Grande Valley.  Becky and I both worked at the health food store and had met some pretty incredible people.  Just the same Becky was a bit leery to leave our real name so they would not know how to get in touch with us!  Pyramid schemes reigned in south Texas.  So Becky signed us all in under aliases.  Mine was--you guessed it!  Liz of the Cosmos.  It sounds pretty silly, but at the time I was a student of Cosmetology!  Of course Becky knew me well and the name stuck.  So here I am, 23 years later, bringing glamour and style to the world of birding. As far as I know I am the only birdwatching hairstylist, Liz of the Cosmos.
